Learning our way around!

Well if I go back from where I left off, the girls had there last day of school and the neighborhood we moved to pulls out all the stops for them.  They rented a bouncy house, popcorn machine, and a shaved ice maker.  The kids were amazed at what they got to do (they normally just get a "Yeah you are done!" from me!)

Here is Ben on the bouncy house
Makenna and new friends in the neighborhood

We celebrated Lexi's birthday June 1st.  She turned 7.  Grammy and Poppa came down to celebrate it with us and to see the new house.  She wanted a jewelry box cake, so I attempted it and had fun making a cake with my mom.
Here is Lexi getting the cake batter for her birthday, and you would think at 7 she would learn how to eat properly- not Lexi :)  We think she prefers to lick everything off her face before eating it!! :) :)
 Lexi and her cake
A better view of the cake, complete with accessories every girl needs to look beautiful!
Our traditional pick in front of the presents!
She was desperate for another American Girl doll, and said if that is all she got she would be soooo happy.  I broke down and did it for her and she named her Emma Grace.
I forgot candles, so she blew out the lighter!  I didn't get my camera out much when my parents were here but you can at least see them in this picture :)
Because she was supposed to have a BIG birthday party this year and we moved on her, I told her I would take her to the American Girl Doll Store.  She had saved lots of money and was sooo excited.
 Ready for Brunch
She was so happy to eat with her doll!

After brunch, she spent every last bit of her money :)
Kenna caught a frog while we were gone, and she named it Fido
 Ben climbed in trees
Our neighbors rented an inflatable water slide for their child's birthday.  We got to play in it all weekend, and it was a bonus because Cyndy, Nathan, and Lauren were here to visit us!  We really needed to see them and we had a wonderful time!!!

We got to got to the Aquarium, one word of advice- never go on Saturday.  Oh My Goodness there were a lot of people there.  It was a pretty cool place though!
So when no one is visiting we spend our time at the pool and exploring the trails around here!
This is a picture I will torment Ben with the rest of his life! :p

Benny with NO swimmy.  He has worked very hard and now can swim without one!  He thinks he is so big!!

There are great greenways here and the kids wanted me to take pictures of one of our favorite walks.
In this picture they saying they are really happy living in Georgia!
But they are sad when they think about how much they miss their friend in North Carolina.
 "Welcome to our favorite walk!"
It is a nice shaded walk!
Benny likes to pick me flowers on the way!
It runs next to a river that they like to throw rocks in
There are really cool boardwalk areas that take you through swamps
Here they are with their scared faces for the part of the walk they labeled "creepy bridge."  It is a little dark under it and pigeons stare at you and kind of give you a creepy feeling!
Just happy to be out and about
Ben says this is a transformer
This tunnel is cool because trains run over it!
And lastly, it was Ellie's birthday last Tuesday- so we had to get her a cupcake :)
