New Years and lots to do!!

Since Christmas we have been busy busy!!!  Steve turned 30 on the 28th of December,   then we had a New Year's Party, I turned 30, and the girls started their basketball and cheerleading.  The girls also are half way through school now.  I can't believe how fast everything is flying by!!  I have lots of pictures to share!

First off:  My parents came to visit shortly after Christmas.  We had our Christmas Dinner with them and the kids were able to open their presents with them.  They also took Makenna back with them for a week all by herself.  She was so happy not to have any brother or sisters around for the week.  She also learned how to bake that week and she now wants to open a shop called Makenna's Magical Munchies.  She brought us home bread and cake that she made and charged us $0.25 a slice.

Here is Ben with his Hess Car.  He was helping Poppa put batteries in them.  (You will see a reoccurring theme with Benny in the pictures in this blog- no pants!)

Here we all are playing Makenna's new Monopoly game

New Year's was so much fun.  We had 2 other families join us for a night of games and food.  We played Catch Phrase and then it was followed by several hard fighting rounds of SPOONS.  I suggest everyone try that game if you haven't!!

Steven just had to get me a Duke shirt

Makenna made the cake all by herself.  She just asked for help with icing the cake.  It was so good that Lexi asked if she would make one for her birthday!!

I want to apologize ahead of time for lack of pictures of Makenna.  I am coaching the team and that leaves Steve in charge of the camera.  I am lucky I got these ones!!!
