Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved our pumpkins. It was fun to watch the kids do it. Makenna finally remembered last year and what it is like to touch and inside of a pumpkin. Lexi didn't remember and I think the experience was almost traumatic for her. Benjamin was completely intrigued by it.

We allowed Makenna to carve her own pumpkin this year.

Lexi was absolutely disgusted with touching the inside of the pumpkin- I suppose it is not a job for a princess. She did want to make a happy pumpkin so that it wouldn't scare little kids.





Benjamin loved looking into the pumpkin. He would put his hand on the inside, touch it, make a weird face, and then pull his hand out as fast as he could. He also liked tasting the pumpkin seed (He did that one on the sly when I was helping Lexi).
