Snow, Snow, Snow!!!!

Yesterday we actually got some snow down here in NC. They said we got 7 inches in North Raleigh. It was such a beautiful snow that stuck to the trees, it was great for snowballs, and sledding. Benjamin and the girls could not wait to go outside (once I got Benny all zipped up he second guessed going outside, to him it is ridiculous to have to wear so much clothes to go outside. Getting Benjamin to wear sneakers is tough enough, let alone boots). We spent the day with the neighbors and found 1 hill in the back of our subdivision and about 15 kids and a bunch of parents had fun sledding! Here is how our day went...
Looking down the street in our neighborhood..

Here's our house covered in snow...

Makenna had a snow day so she decided to make herself some Easy Bake doughnuts, in which she loved and would not share with anyone.

Ben figuring out the snow.

Lexi and her best friend Eliana. I wasn't sure what would get rid of the snow faster, the sun or Lexi eating ALL of the snow..

Our first hill we found wasn't necessarily the safest (it was road, but don't worry we found a safer one!).
The girls took a midday break at our house to warm up and have hot cocoa, pizza, and play some wii. (It is Makenna with Abbie, Zoey, and Hannah)

Here are all the girls eating their pizza.
Here is Flip trying to throw down Steven.

The 2nd hill we found was in my friend Sara's back yard. Here are the kids getting ready. (And thanks to Sara a lot of the pictures in this post are from her!)

Lexi in the lead as all the girls go down!
Benny and Daddy going down!

Benjamin decided it was better to watch then go down.
Flip getting Steven again.

Makenna crashed over the speed bump.
She got it this time!

Lexi going down with Flip.
Lexi LOVED sledding. She would go down with no fear, laughing the whole way!!

Here is Sara and I racing down the hill!
Time to go!! It was hard dragging the girls away but we did and they sure slept good last night!

You guys can come up any time! I don't think the snow will melt any time soon (especially since it is supposed to snow the next 5 days in a row)! I am sure Luke would love someone to play with in the snow. It looks like your kids had a great time playing in it!
